Platform tents are a convenient way for you to enjoy all the fun of camping, without all the hassle of packing a tent, setting it up and tearing it down. Our large, four-person tents are set up on wooden platforms and covered by a tin roof to protect you from the elements. They come equipped with four foam mattresses - the only gear you will need to bring is your sleeping bag, or bedding, and pillow. Please reserve tents on platforms in advance, as we have a limited number of these units available.
At River Expeditions Adventure Resort campground, you are within easy walking distance to our new showerhouse and restrooms, dining area, outdoor pool and hot tub, Fire Creek Lodge and Conference Center, Outfitters Store, Red Dog River Saloon, and Welcome Center. If you still need to burn off some energy after your white water rafting trip, there’s also on-site paintball, volleyball and hiking to enjoy! Our platform tents are pet friendly, and your pet is sure to enjoy sleeping in the outdoors while camping with their family in West Virginia. We welcome your pets as long as they do not disturb other guests and are kept on a leash at all times.
