West Virginia Artisans and Art Gallery
The mountains of West Virginia have long been revered and respected for their role in shaping our history, culture and heritage. West Virginia is located in the heart of the Appalachian Region, a 200,000 square mile area that follows the Appalachian Mountains from southern New York to northern Mississippi. It includes parts of 12 states and all of West Virginia.
While the isolation of the mountains helps to preserve our state's largely unspoiled natural beauty, it can also make it difficult for our talented artists and craftspeople to gain access to the best markets in which to sell their work. Fortunately, the area surrounding River Expeditions is filled with one-of-a-kind shops and galleries featuring the works of these top artisans.
Discover many unique galleries, one being the nation’s first retail showcase of regional art - Tamarack, located in Beckley, WV. Other ecclectic galleries line the streets of trendy downtown Historic Fayetteville and Historic Lewisburg. Browse and shop until your heart is content.
Discover the unique talent of gifted West Virginia artisans as their work is on display at local venues throughout the region.
