Golf Course at Hawks Nest State Park in West Virginia
Nestled in the heart of whitewater rafting country, Hawks Nest State Park encompasses 276 acres bordering a rugged section of the New River Gorge National River. Long known for its panoramic views, the park offers a modern, 31 room lodge for the comfort of overnight guests, plus a restaurant with dramatic views of the gorge. Below the lodge, the New River forms peaceful Hawks Nest Lake.
Another highlight of the park is the 9-hole golf course offering beautiful vistas of the New River and Gauley River valleys. The course is perfect for a short game but very challenging with tight mountainside fairways and target greens. It provides a great game for the novice and those looking for a change.
The golf course opens daily at 8 a.m and is located 5 miles west of the lodge. Cart and club rentals are available at the pro shop. The Hawks Nest State Park club house or the conference room at the lodge is perfect for business meetings or group gatherings. Complete golf packages including lodging and meals in available.

I would like to thank you all for helping my group of family and friends (27 in all) to have a wonderful trip. We all enjoyed our rafting experience on the Lower New River. Everyone was helpful. The ladies that helped me put the trip together were great in giving me the information I needed. Making arrangement for 27 is no easy task.
