The Kirkwood Winery is located just 30 minutes north of River Expeditions. You'll enjoy the rich mountain tradition that flavors their wines. In addition to the standard fare, they offer wines that reflect the mountain heritage.

Kirkwood Winery is also home to the Isaiah Morgan Distillery, southern West Virginia's first mini-distillery which crafts Rye, Southern Moon, and Grappa spirits. Take a tour, do some tasting, and don't forget to take something home from their store.

Whitewater Season Opener

I went white water rafting for the first time with River Expeditions, and it was the best trip I have ever taken. I drove all the way from Michigan not knowing what to find there, and just everybody and everything you had to offer was just great. I am 20 years old and coming there has been the best thing I have ever done and is now a yearly planned trip and I am going to try and make two trips this upcoming year.
