Each year, like clock-work, River Expeditions trains prospective river guides. Many former guests decide to exit the ‘real world’ in the hopes of becoming a whitewater guide for a fun summer job. Often it leads to a complete lifestyle change. Since whitewater is an addictive sport, what begins as a one-time trip with friends or family can easily turn into a lifelong passion and career.

For lots of people who truly love their initial rafting experiences, the lure is strong to accept the challenge and become a guide. Our intensive training program, involves learning to read whitewater, proper guiding techniques, and first aid and cpr training.
