Premium Multi Day TripsWhen you’re on the river nothing else matters. Here the pressures of reality escape you; there are no 4th quarter earnings, no shopping lists and no red lights. The river beckons your exploration. And if one day on the river is great then two days or more on the river is even better! River Expeditions Multi Day Trips offer the opportunity to go deeper in your river experience and discover your passion for adventure as you share this bond with family, friends and your hosts on the journey.

Basecamp Packages feature your choice of river adventure(s) plus two nights camping at our headquarters, so after an exciting day on the river you can take a hot shower, have a cold beverage, check out your rafting photos and watch the video of your day’s adventure. You can even take a dip in our pool or hot tub before enjoying your mouth-watering, prepared to order dinner in the air-conditioned comfort of our Dining Area. Later, browse the Outfitters Store before heading to the Red Dog River Saloon for some entertainment and camaraderie among friends. Lite breakfast is included each morning, as well as complimentary beverages after rafting. This trip features exciting rafting, plus all the comfort and convenience of our spacious basecamp.
Riverside Overnight Packages include your choice of river adventure(s) and one night of camping along the river. After a full day of rafting, you’ll pull over and set up camp beside the river. Relax and unwind with a cold beverage while your guide-turned-gourmet-chef prepares a delicious meal. Later relive the day’s memories around a cozy campfire – you can even roast marshmallows or have a sing-a-long! Fall asleep under the stars to the river’s gentle rhythm. You’ll awake the next morning to a hearty breakfast before getting underway for the next leg of your adventure. One night camping at basecamp is also included. This is a true wilderness rafting expedition.

High Adventure / Small Raft Options Although each river trip is an exciting and challenging expedition, there are those who seek an even higher level of adventure. With them in mind, River Expeditions offers the option of upgrading to a smaller raft, intended to push the limits of our sport. This option is for those who have several river descents under their belt and are looking for the next step in excitement.
Smaller rafts provide higher performance and increased maneuverability. This aggressive approach is for experienced, enthusiastic paddlers who want to see the river from a completely different perspective. On the Gauley River, this trip is recommended for those over the age of 18, with prior class V+ rafting experience, excellent health, and the ability to calmly respond to adverse and difficult whitewater situations.
In some cases, families or small groups who want to experience the river in a more personal setting may opt for a smaller raft, without the added adventure. When reserving a small raft, please specify whether you want a more challenging ride or simply prefer to maintain closeness with those in your party.
Gauley River Double Upper Basecamp Overnight Package
This package includes rafting the top river segment in the country - the famed Upper Gauley River - twice in one day! After the second run of the day, you'll set up camp at our exclusive riverside overnight location and enjoy a cold beverage and a cozy fire. Your guide will prepare a delicious dinner over an open flame that you're sure to devour after working up an appetite paddling all day. After dinner you can relive the day's adventures around the campfire before falling asleep underneath the stars. The next day you will enjoy a hearty riverside breakfast before catching the shuttle back to reality. This is a premium wilderness adventure package. Lower / Upper Gauley River Reverse Riverside Overnight Package
This premium trip includes two full days of rafting - warm up the first day on the Lower Gauley and then challenge the Upper Gauley on day two. After the first day, you'll set up camp riverside and relax with a beverage before dinner is served. Make memories with friends around the campfire after sharing a delicious meal, prepared by your guide-turned-gourmet-chef. Fall asleep under the stars to the river's gentle rhythms and wake refreshed before having a hearty riverside breakfast and setting out for day two and the Upper Gauley River. Upper New River / Upper New River Family Overnight Trip
Family Overnight trips combine the fun and excitement of being on the river two days with the incredible experience of camping out along the riverbank underneath the stars. This trip features rafting on the magnificent Upper New River, a playful and mild section of the New River Canyon. Here you can use our inflatable kayaks, called 'duckies', for even more fun on the water. After a great day on the river, pull over and relax while dinner is being prepared by your guide. After dinner, gather around the cozy campfire for a sing-a-long and a marshmallow roast. The next morning you'll enjoy a delicious hearty breakfast before taking on the Upper New River for the second day. This is the ultimate family bonding trip - perfect for families with children ages 6 and up.
